No, I needed 13 more marks to achieve my target of an A

3) Write a question-by-question analysis of your performance. For each question, write how many marks you got from the number available and identify any points that you missed by carefully studying the AQA indicative content in the mark scheme:

Q1 8/9 - Went pretty well, just needed to add more indicative points and analyse the cultural significance as being to do with fluidity more than I did

Q2 8/25 - I failed in understanding exactly what the question wanted me to answer and I did not have the necessary knowledge to back up what I did argue in terms of named theorists and ideas on regulation regarding TV

Q3 17/25 - I needed to focus more than just sexuality and Gender for HFW like orientalism whilst also adding examples and evidence from the CSP's such as the DLC in sims or the fact that Alloy in a DLC can be seen as LGBTQ

Q4 16/25 - I needed to define exactly what a specialised audience was and provide a valid argument whilst using evidence from the CSP's and using Language, Industries, Audience and Representation theorists in my answer

4) Look at question 4 - the synoptic question. How many of the four key concepts did you cover in your answer? Write a new essay plan for this question using the indicative content in the mark scheme and taking care to include at least three of Language - Representations - Audience - Industries. You can use bullet points but make sure you offer enough content to meet the criteria for Level 5 (top level). This will be somewhere between 3-4 well-developed paragraphs planned in some detail.

I think that I covered Representation but failed to truly grasp audience and industries

plan:

Intro- introduce my argument and structure for the essay

p1 - Personal opinion on whether or not the two magazines actually target specialised audiences and introducing demographics and psychographics

p2 - Focus on Gentleman and arguing for whether it is mainstream or niche and making sure to reference online social media and YouTube as forms of getting the product to its audiences. Making sure to highlight Industries and Audience in this paragraph and include GQ heroes

p3 - Focus on GW and why it is more niche due to its Representation through its front cover such as its unconventionality + GW club and it being exclusive making it more niche and so targeting a wealthier ABC1 specialised audience

Conclusion - Wrap up what was said in the introduction
