WWW: A brilliant start to the course, Matas. My only frustration is that you did not study Media for GCSE but nonetheless we are glad that you have managed to find us and hopefully you are equally enjoying the content and lessons so far! I admire your aspirational grade that you hope to achieve in the subject and with the start you have made I am sure we will be on the right track to achieve it.

 

EBI: Very hard to comment on much as your blog work possesses a lot of detail and depth however, I would suggest exposing yourself to a variety of media such as reading other newspapers than ‘The Sun’ to ensure you get higher quality newsworthy content and consider listening to more Radio too.

What is your strongest piece of work? 

I think that my strongest piece of work has to be Genre as i am quite confident in my research of it and understanding of how it works in media.

What is your weakest?

In this moment in time I do wholeheartedly form the opinion that my knowledge and confidence lack within and is by far the weakest would have to be reception theory.

What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop over the rest of the course?

Media research, and analysis skills of media texts while also associating the right theories with the right theorists.
